How does Derma Rolling work?
Yes! Have you heard of skin needling at the clinic? Well this is skin needling at-home, the easy, affordable way!
When the derma roller is rolled over the skin, the fine needles on the roller puncture the skin. The tiny holes that the needles create in the skin are considered to be superficial. When the skin is punctured, it does not cause actual damage to the outer layer of skin, it instead creates a controlled skin injury.

The needles help to break down any scar tissue. The controlled injuries trigger the body’s wound healing response which cause the skin to release substances that stimulate growth as well as new blood vessels form in the skin leading the skin to repair itself and create more collagen.

Over the next 5 days, the collagen produced by the body is deposited in the area of treated skin. Research has found that only four microneedling sessions resulted in up to a 400 percent rise in collagen.
How do I use the Derma Roller?
Step 1: Disinfect your roller
Disinfect your derma roller by spraying it with the Better Side Beauty Derma Roller Sanitising Spray. Put your derma roller back in it's original case and let it sit for a minimum of 30mins before using. It's important to also disinfect after use and store back into it's original case.
Step 2: Wash your face
Thoroughly cleanse your face using a cleanser.

Step 3: Begin derma rolling
Technique is very important! Splitting up your face into sections makes the whole process easier. Gently roll the derma roller over the area you wish to treat 5 times vertically, 5 times horizontally, 5 times diagonally to the left and 5 diagonally to the right.
Step 4: Apply skincare
Time to apply your favourite skincare products onto the skin. The process you just finished with the Derma roller will help your products absorb into the skin helping them to work their magic!
It is advised not to wear makeup, tanning products or sunscreen within 24 hours of derma rolling.
Does the LED Light Therapy Face Mask work? How does it work?
Yes LED Light Therapy does work! LED stands for light-emitting diode. These lights have been in use since the 1960's but people have only recently begun to use them as a skin treatment.
Did you also know that NASA originally developed LED lights for plant growth experiments in space. However, since then, LEDs have shown promising results in wound healing and human tissue growth.

Different wavelengths of light in LED lights, including blue, red and amber all penetrate the skin at different depths. This penetration may trigger biological processes that help the skin rejuvenate and heal.
